Konstantinos Loizos
Dr. Konstantinos Loizos is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre of Planning and Economic Research (KEPE), and a visiting lecturer at the Department of Economics, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. As a researcher, he has also worked with the Bank of Greece and the National Confederation of Commerce and Entrepreneurship. His research has been published in academic journals including the Journal of Economic Issues, Journal of Post Keynesian Economics, Journal of Economic Surveys, International Review of Financial Analysis, and Economics and Business Letters as well as in peer-reviewed edited volumes. He has also been the author or co-author of four books and editor of three volumes about economic theory, banking, and the history of institutions in Greece. His latest book is titled Between Markets and Governments. An Institutional Analysis of Development Banking and Economics in Greece and was released in May 2025 by Palgrave Macmillan. His research interests include development finance and financial regulation-deregulation, with emphasis on development banking and bank regulation, and the theory and history of economic institutions.
