Theodor Sarafidis
A sociologist (Bsc, Panteion University of Athens), and organizational Psychologist (Msc, Panteion University of Athens) possessor of a PhD in the Sociology of the Web. My doctoral thesis was “The network – institutionalization of the control of complexity. The case of the security software company, “Surf Control””. I currently conduct postdoctoral research in the Department of Social Anthropology at Panteion University in Athens. My topic is “The entropic Control Societies and the Invention of Democratic Algorithmic Machines of Negentropy”. I am member of the Laboratory for Anthropological Research, of the department of Social Anthropology at Panteion University in Athens. I have participated in many research projects in the fields of Sociology and Social Psychology. My research interests concern Cybernetics, Sociocybernetics, Cybersemiotics, Algorithmic Governmentality, A.I., Digital Anthropology, Social Ecology, and Critical Education. I have been active in social movements regarding Commons, Direct Democracy and Social Ecology. Recently I completed the map for designing a Liberty-AI machine based on the assemblage of Viable System Model (Stafford Beer) the Grid (Felix Guattari) and Human Scale Development (Max-Neef)
