The Center for Popular Economics in Amherst, MA, United States, is now accepting registrations for its 2026 Summer Institute. The theme of this year’s summer institute is “Economics for the People – Challenging Capitalism in Troubled Times and Building Collective Futures”. It will be held from June 24th to June 28th at Hampshire College, Amherst. The institute uses a sliding scale for registration fees, ranging from USD 75 to USD 470.

The curriculum will cover the basics of radical economics, providing a material analysis of capitalism, racism and patriarchy. We will also discuss the logic behind progressive reforms and post-capitalist experiments. And we will educate each other about the history of social movements and debate different strategies of resisting and moving beyond capitalism.
