Models, Experiences, and Debates to Rethink Self-Management in the 21st Century
The Institute of Economic and Self-Management Sciences (ICEA), in preparation for its upcoming General Assembly, is organizing a series of online seminars to be held in the coming months (provisionally between 12 and 14 December 2025).
These meetings aim to promote the exchange of experiences, strengthen knowledge sharing, and provide useful tools for organizations, social movements, and unions inspired by libertarian and self-managed principles.
The seminars will be organized around three main thematic axes:
- Models of self-management and workers’ power. Historical and contempo-
rary experiences, workers’ control practices, and collective management. - Economic planning and self-managed organization. Coordination mecha-
nisms, analytical tools, and organizational models. - New lines of work: self-management for the 21st century and economic
analysis of capitalism. Contemporary challenges, future proposals, and critical
reflections on capital dynamics.
Call for Participation
If you wish to present a research paper, case study, theoretical reflection, or practical experience, we invite you to take part in the seminars and the forthcoming dossier. The procedure is as follows:

– If a large number of proposals are received, a committee will evaluate them to

ceive a response, and selected participants will be contacted to present as speak-
ers.
– Submissions that adopt a feminist perspective, addressing both the productionand reproduction of life, will be particularly valued.
– After the presentation, participants must submit the full manuscript in academic format by 31 December 2025, to be included in a collective publication edited by ICEA. Publication guidelines will be provided in due course.
