GoFundMe for Postcapitalist Documentary Series

Documentary filmaker Zachary Marlow has launched a GoFundMe campaign seeking support for the final leg of a global documentary series on alternatives to capitalism. He has already shot three feature films and this will be the fourth. In this leg, Marlow aims to capture groundbreaking initiatives in Asia, sharing powerful stories of people coming together across continents to create sustainable and just alternatives.

Excerpt:

I have traveled far and wide to tell this story, from protests and professors across the USA, through indigenous jungle villages in South America, to the Regenaissance emerging across Europe, to ancient futures and decolonial movements in Africa and emerging stateless society’s in the Middle East, the last major continent of Asia beckons from Thailand. I’ve been invited to a cluster of events around the new economy and the creation of network societies beyond the nation state, a decentralized internet, and the rebirth of THE COMMONS, I’ll be documenting the amazing work of Edge City, The Peer to Peer Foundation, Funding the Commons, Plurality, and a host of other visionaries, from two residencies in Chiang Mai to a gathering of changemakers in Bangkok continuing the story and bringing it to its most global point of union.
