The IDA (Initiative Demokratische Arbeitszeitrechnung/Initiative for Democratic Working Time Accounting) has published an article announcing that their working time calculation app has been renamed so that it’s now called Workers Control.

We have renamed our working time calculation app – from now on it is called Workers Control! The old name “Arbeitszeit-App” was clunky and difficult for an international audience to understand. With Workers Control, we want to make it clear that the app is a tool for decentralized self-management – under the control of workers.
In addition to the new name, the app now also has a sleek new logo.
There will also be an exciting upgrade coming soon – a core service that will make the app more flexible and versatile in its use. For example, it can be used to organize neighborhood networks, self-organized festivals, or community-based care work.
Our goal is to turn the app into an easily accessible tool for collective self-organization based on labour time calculation – so that self-management can be practically experienced and explored.
