New Grant to do a PhD on Democratic Economic Planning in Canada

The CRITS research group on democratic economic planning is looking for prospective PhD student(s) to submit a grant proposal and, possibly, receive money to do a PhD in Canada.

The Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) has started the Impact+ Research Training Awards. This program offers CAD 40,000 per year for three years to a prospective PhD student from outside Canada who wants to start their PhD in Canada. The student needs to move to, study in, and pay tuition fees in Canada.

The team at the CRITS research group on democratic economic planning would be ready to apply with one (or possibly more) student interested in economic planning and postcapitalism in the broad sense. An application from the research group does not guarantee that the student will get the grant.

If you want to start a PhD in those topics and you are not afraid of large temperature gaps (Ottawa goes from -25˚C in the winter to +35˚C in the summer), send an email to stremblay@ustpaul.ca.
