New Study by think tank Communia on Socialization as emancipatory hegemony project for transforming the energy sector

The german think tank Communia has recently published a study on how socialization can become an emancipatory hegemony project for transforming the energy sector. It maps the current predominant reactions to the climate crisis (with a focus on Germany), namely a technologically focused “green capitalism”, versus a strengthening of reactionary and fascist forces, which aim to defend the fossil status quo much more decisively and violently. It examines the alignment of actors with these tendencies, their internal contradictions, and how a project of the socialization of the energy sector can offer a progressive counter project to these two pathways.

The study was commissioned by the Rosa-Luxemburg Foundation. It can be downloaded for free here (in German).
