Polar Marxism Publishes Paper On Cybernetic Socialist Planning

On the website Polar Marxism, Vilen Esteni has published a paper outlining its conception of cybernetic socialist planning.

A summary of the paper can be found below:

This paper presents the general architecture of Cenes (Centralized Network Economic System), a proposed centralized network economy conceived as an organizational and technical implementation of Plan III. The concept seeks to combine centralized strategic goal-setting with operational autonomy of economic enterprises, distributed information processing, and incentive-based economic coordination. The organizational foundation of Cenes is Stafford Beer’s recursive Viable System Model (VSM). The paper outlines the architecture of political and economic governance, the distinction between direct strategic control and autonomous economic management, antimonetary mechanisms for production and consumption allocation, a system for evaluating and incentivizing internal capital, and an offer-based mechanism through which participants can propose revisions to planned decisions using locally available knowledge. It also addresses legally structured economic obligations, independent verification, digital representations of production, systemic resilience, and the gradual implementation of the proposed architecture. Cenes is presented as an integrated institutional and cybernetic framework aimed at economic reproduction and the maximization of development. The paper is conceptual and architectural in scope, providing a foundation for subsequent formalization, technical implementation, and evaluation rather than an empirical demonstration of the system’s performance.
