Responses to IDA’s article on Labor-Time Calculation and Private Reproductive Labor

Since IDA (Initiative Democratic Labor-Time Accounting) published the article “Feminist Socialization? The Opportunity of Labor-Time Calculation for the Problem of Private Reproductive Labor“, the blog Leftdis has republished the IDA’s article as well as two critiques of it.

The first critique is by Hermann Lueer, who argues that socialization of reproductive labor it being collective organised through kindergartens, schools, care facilities, community kitchens, public health and care infrastructures.

The second critique is by Fredo Corvo, who agrees with Lueer’s critique of the IDA’s article and further argues that the experiences of socializing reproductive labor in the Russian Revolution and transforms of the family under capitalism provide important lessons for how to socialize reproductive work in the course of building a communist society through proletarian revolution.
