On Saturday 30th May, the economics department of the La Boétie Institute and the For the People Foundation organized the conference International Economic Days 2026. At the conference, there was a roundtable discussion on how ecological planning can be used to coordinate the transition to an ecologically sustainable society consisting of the speakers Matthias Schmelzer of Flensburg University, Mathilde Viennot of the Avant-Garde Institute, Cédric Durand of the University of Geneva and Isabella Weber of the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

On Saturday, May 30, 2026, the La Boétie Institute and the Pour Le Peuple Foundation organized an international economics conference at the Maison de la Chimie (House of Chemistry).
For the third edition of its economics conference, the La Boétie Institute’s economics department, in cooperation with the Pour Le Peuple Foundation, brought together the best of the global heterodox economic debate in France!
The second roundtable discussion of the day focused on the issue of planning. What economic policies can support the ecological transition? How can the state organize this transition through ecological planning? What strategies for resource efficiency can challenge the growth paradigm?
