The From Alpha to Omega Podcast has recently released a two part interview with Paul S. Adler. The first episode centers on Adler’s 1990 paper “Marx, Machines, and Skill” and the question if capitalism deskills workers. The second episode focuses on Adler’s 2019 book “The 99 Percent Economy. How Democratic Socialism Can Overcome the Crises of Capitalism” and the question if capitalist firms are already developing forms of economic planning and workplace organization that would be useful for a socialist economy.
