Who Controls Tech? Project Cybersyn & The Politics of Infrastructure

November 9 @ 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm UTC+0

Easton Cowfolk Radical Film Club presents a screening and discussion exploring Project Cybersyn, Chile’s experiment in cybernetic economic coordination under Salvador Allende’s government.

The event will feature a screening of *Project Cybersyn & The CIA Coup in Chile*, a documentary by Plastic Pills, followed by a panel discussion on technological sovereignty, state planning and the politics of infrastructure.

Project Cybersyn sought to connect factories with a central operations room, using real-time information to identify production and supply bottlenecks. The event invites participants to consider how technology could be organised around human needs rather than private profit, and what this history can teach us about democratic economic planning today.

Food and drinks are included in the ticket price. Anyone unable to afford a ticket can ask for entry on arrival; the organisers state that no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
