Description:
The research and discourse on democratic economic planning are largely focused on the theoretical development of concepts of planned economies and empirical research analysing tendencies within the current economic order that hint towards democratic economic planning. For this panel discussion we focus on the research methods and methodologies in these research areas to provide an (insufficient) overview. Specifically, we focus on speculative technology/design and categorical cybernetics. Therewith, we aim to foster interdisciplinary dialogue that goes beyond topics and perspectives to also engage with different methods and methodologies, and to encourage further research in this field.
